Long history of giving back to the community
Our history, culture and people are rooted in Norfolk. We celebrate this local connection by giving back to the community.
Through our Charitable Giving Committee we support charitable causes and organisations in Norfolk that promote the welfare of local people.
Charitable support
Through our Charitable Giving Committee we support local charitable causes and organisations that promote the welfare of local people. In recent months our support has included:
Norfolk and Waveney Mind
A local mental health charity working to reduce the stigma associated with mental health. They support people in their recovery and champion better services for all.
Norwich Door-to-Door
A local, friendly and reliable door-to-door community transport service available to residents of Norwich and its districts.
Hamlet
Hamlet offers support to children and adults living with disabilities and their families. Over 300 families of children and adults with disabilities living in Norfolk access their services.
Norwich Foodbank
The Norwich Foodbank (seeded by the Trussell Trust) provides emergency food, as well as compassionate support, for local people who may be in crisis and unable to afford the food they need.
Alzheimer’s Society - Our charity of the year
Over the course of each year, through staff-led initiatives, we help raise awareness and funds for our nominated charity of the year.
Alzheimer’s Society help those living with dementia today and provide hope for the future by providing Dementia support services and funding Dementia research.
The charity provides companion calls to combat loneliness and intervene in safeguarding cases, helping to protect some of the most vulnerable from neglect, abuse, and harm. Whilst also currently funding over 600 research projects to find the best ways to get early diagnosis, innovate care and develop targeted treatments. They operate a Norfolk and Waveney dementia support group providing vital services within the region.
